I’m running to bring experience, perspective and a practical voice to Council.
A RECORD OF SHOWING UP
Leadership doesn’t stop when the title does.
I’m a lifelong Ucluelet resident, husband, father, grandfather, small-business owner, former Councillor and former Mayor.
Since leaving the Mayor’s chair, I’ve continued doing the work in our community. I’ve helped local organizations navigate complex projects, build partnerships, secure funding and turn long-held plans into permanent homes.
That work has reinforced what I have always believed: progress comes from listening, bringing good people together and staying at the table until the job gets done.

COMMUNITY WORK
Permanent homes. Lasting capacity.
Two important community organizations needed leadership, partnerships, funding and persistence. Alongside excellent boards, staff, volunteers and community partners, I’m proud of the role I played in helping both establish permanent homes and stronger foundations for the future.

Food Bank on the Edge
President
I helped lead the organization through one of its biggest challenges: securing and developing a permanent home.
My father helped build the original food bank building, so this project carries a deep personal meaning for me.
The result belongs to a determined board, staff, volunteers, donors and community partners who kept showing up and believing it could be done.

Redd Fish Restoration Society
12 years involved · Six years as Chair
I have worked alongside an exceptional team to grow the organization’s capacity, support restoration and advance work grounded in environmental stewardship and reconciliation.
Together, we helped Redd Fish secure and develop a permanent home—a foundation for the organization’s next chapter.
